After opening his flagship restaurant L’Enclume in 2002 which earned a Michelin star in 2005, Simon opened Rogan & Co in 2008, an informal neighbourhood restaurant in Cartmel, that earned a Michelin star in 2018. Our Farm also opened where growers and chefs work side-by-side to grow produce for the restaurants, in a natural and sustainable way. Meanwhile, L’Enclume was awarded a second Michelin star in 2013 and a third Michelin star in 2022.
A London outpost of Aulis opened in 2017, in the heart of Soho to act as a test kitchen and chef’s table for Roganic. Under the helm of executive chef Oli Marlow and head chef Charlie Tayler, the restaurant was awarded its first Michelin star in 2024. The second Aulis – Aulis Cartmel – opened in 2016 while Aulis Hong Kong opened in late 2019.
Henrock, Simon’s newest restaurant in The Lake District, opened in October 2019 as an informally elegant restaurant set within Linthwaite House, a contemporary country house hotel in the fells above Windermere.
Initially launched as a “pop-up” in London, Roganic opened in Hong Kong in early 2020. Roganic Hong Kong was awarded a Michelin star less than ten months after opening and received a Michelin Green Star in 2021, the first restaurant in the city to do so, highlighting it as the leader in restaurant sustainability.
As an addition to his Hong Kong restaurants, Simon opened The Baker & The Bottleman in 2022 as a neighbourhood restaurant and bakery. The bakery serves bread and pastries with a strong British heritage, whilst the restaurant has a unique and impressive list of natural wines that are complemented by an ingredient-driven à la carte menu.
In March 2023, Simon Rogan opened ION Harbour at Iniala Harbour House. In 2024, the restaurant received two Michelin stars, just over a year after he took the helm.
Aulis Phuket is Simon Rogan’s latest restaurant, opening in December 2023 in the gardens of Iniala Beach House in Thailand.
